Favorite 22lr Bulk Ammo?

I shoot 50-yard 22LR pistol competition with friends twice a week now going on 5 years. Thats 200 rounds a week or over 10K rounds a year. The best performing bulk ammo we use is the Federal AutoMatch and it is very clean shooting as well. Aguila High Velocity 40 grain ammo comes in a close second and sometimes shoots a bit better in my S&W K22 Masterpiece revolver. I gave up on Winchester bulk as it was terrible. I buy the AutoMatch by the case and, like all .22LR ammo, some lots are better than others. Rimfire firearms are usually picky at what ammo they like, so take any recommendation with a grain of salt and always test various brands for what shoots best in your particular rifle or pistol.

It is strange, but my Anshutz and Cz like certain ammo, but my Winchester 52 shoots just about anything good!
I have a Anshutz also 64 action German not savage it really shines with eley match but I have won with cci.I have a B&L 36 power on it. I own and shoot a lot of 22's and every thing else. When I die someone will crap their pants.

I shoot the S&W 41 at 50 slow fire and then 25 rapid fire.I am in the mid 200 score range with cci and tighter groups with eley pistol orang and black box but took me a long time to get there and I have friends that make me look bad

Here is some ammunition from days gone by but good stuff

In my CZ 457 American I bought for hunting the sub sonic ammo at about 1,050 fps seems to hold tighter groups. The Federal Automatch has been pretty accurate but the Aquila Super Extra 38gr @ 1,280 fps not so much in that gun. Since CCI comes in a plastic box that individually holds each round separately I don't consider it packaged in bulk, but the CCI Standard Velocity @ 1,070 has been good and the CCI Sub Sonic hollow point @ 1,050 worked for me last weekend on 4 ground squirrels with one shot kills at 10, 25, 38 and 56 yards.
Since my last post I bought a few more boxes of the CCI Standard Velocity. This 1,050 fps, 40 grain round was consistently giving me roughly one inch groups at 50 yards out of my CZ 457 American, I couldn't get the same lot number and the new lot is giving me 2" groups at 50 yards, not good enough for me for squirrel hunting. I went back and bought two boxes of the bulk Federal Automatch and I'm back to quarter size groups at 50 yards. I also bought two boxes of the CCI suppressor hollow point, 975 fps, 45 grain. I shot 10, 5 shot groups and this round is giving me penny size groups at 30 yards and easily under a quarter at 50 yards, there's about a one and a half inch drop between these two distances that I had to dial in with the scope.

It's great to hear about your experiences! Both are solid choices, and it's interesting to see how they perform with different firearms. Personally, I've had good results with CCI Mini-Mag for my range sessions, but it's always fun to try out new options.

By the way, if you ever need bulk ammunition, you might want to check out BulkMunitions. They offer a wide range of options for handgun, rifle, shotgun, and rimfire ammo, as well as fast shipping. It's always good to have a reliable source this kind of stuff.

My Ruger 77/22 like the Remington Golden Bullet HPs in boxed/bricks not that milk carton rubbish that loosens bullet crimps. I don't argue with the gun. A lot of squirrels have gone in to the pot with that bullet. Headshots mostly. I have more expensive ammo but the gun likes it. I also have the Winchester powerpoints that some guns like, but there are more fliers with that ammo.

I am playing with a Ruger RPR rimfire. At first it only like the greasy expensive foreign ammo like SK Standard plus and Geco (RWS) and it hated CCI SV, but after a few hundred rounds it is doing pretty good with CCI SV as well as Blazer. Still wish I bought a different gun but this isn't as bad as I thought after some work.

Too bad I cannot buy the GECO Rifle anymore. That was good stuff but apparently RWS isn't making it for GECO anymore.
