7mm 190 a-tip @3,000fps which cartridge

I have a couple similar to what you are looking for.

26" 7RM pushing a 184 Hyb @ 3045fps w. RL26 (only a late season load) or 180 Hyb @ 2996 w. H1000. 28" would get you there, but you will be leaning on it.

26" 28 Nosler pushing a 195 Elite @ 3087fps with a moderate load of IMR8133. RL33, N570 both spank this for velocity, up to 3150+fps. N568 will get 3100. Retumbo will substitute for IMR8133 (not gr for gr though). 3000fps is EASY with a 28 Nos and you don't have to step on the gas.
how much N570? buddies 28 nos won't run anywhere near that.

28 nos is over the top imo. There's really not a cartridge that sits right there with a 26" tube that comes to mind. I'd think 7-300 win mag or prc would be a good choice and should be about 3k with a 190 with a 24-26" barrel. If you wanna run a long barrel I think a 7 rm throated correctly and a 30" barrel would get you really close if not there. My last rm was a 22" throated properly and I got 2930 fps with a 180.

Barrel life won't be very good I don't think.

I think pick a more efficient case and run them at like 2900 in long barrel and it will be alot better

I built a switch barrel out of the 7RM Sendero II I bought back in 2020, took the factory barrel off and re-chambered it to 7STW, and made a customised 264WM with 29.5" 8" twist barrel for it, it also has an unfinished 30" 8" twist 6.5-300 Weatherby barrel to screw on, and I can screw on one of my 30" 300WM barrels if I want.
The STW will easily reach 3000fps with 190g+ bullets if throated correctly. I have mine @ 3.690" OAL and can be mag fed, however I don't know the length of those mag boxes you are using.

Cheers.

I can run a 195 EOL out of my 26" 7-300PRC w/82gr of LRT @ 3130fps. This load did not meet my expectations (accuracy) so I went back to my 180 Hybrids. I'm sure I could have slowed it down a bit and found the accuracy I was looking for, but just didn't seem worth the trouble or barrel life? Even with the 190s longer bearing surface, I'm sure 3000fps would be achieved with the 7-300PRC? Possibly, even with H-1000? There are a lot of powders out there that will make 3000fps, just depends on what you find acceptable for brass life?

28 nosler and not lose sleep about will I get to 3000 fps. I push a 195 EOL at 3055 out of a 25" benchmark and don't even have to stand on it powder wise at only 79.2 gr of N570. Will it come at the cost of barrel life? Yes. but isn't the point of owning a race car to burn through sets of tires?

I'd be for betting if you'd of slowed it down 100 fps it would of perked really well.

Regarding barrel life, I've been using various big 7's for 4 decades. My fav is the 7 Mashburn Super. For life I've been getting 2500 rounds give or take. Usually around 1700 rounds I start chasing the lands a bit, then around 2500 accuracy begins to go and fouling becomes a PIA so it becomes time to rebarrel.

These big 7's will take a heck of a lot more rounds than most people give them credit for.

Just my experience, take it for what it's worth.
