Obama's covert attack on guns just stepped up a knotch. So much for transperancy and openess. He can't take our guns - so he's going after the ammo.

1. As littletoes pointed the DOD is no longer going to sell used brass.

2. The national park service has just band lead bullets.

What's next?

High taxation on all things gun related. Just like the tobacco industry. Give the money to the masses and they will vote for it.

This has been rescinded, copied from Georgia Arms Web site:

Dear Loyal Customers,
Thanks to your voice, DOD has rescinded the order to mutilate all spent cases as of 4:30 pm on 3/17/09. We appreciate the time and effort that you expended, together we all made a difference. We will be posting the email we received from DOD as well as any additional information within the next 12-16 hours. Thanks so much and lets get to work!!! Georgia Arms

I wonder if they rescinded it because of public pressure or because law enforcement agencies spoke up about how much that new policy would have cost them?

Collectively, they have to be one of the biggest consumers of reloaded military brass? Law enforcement agencies would have had to greatly increase their budgets - all during a recession. Not to mention the lost military revenues from the sale of the brass. Another great idea from the Obama administration.

I think that perversely B.O.'s leftist policies will help strengthen this country because he has stirred a sleeping giant. Red blooded patriotic Americans are starting to realize just what can happen to our God given and Constitutional rights if we do not remain ever vigilant. We must stand firm and uphold the principles this country was founded on.
