Those are whitetail deer...you should probably not go deer hunting in Texas and stay in California.

Doubtful on a high fence, out where the desert mule deer lives there almost no high fence ranches. This is a sub-species of those in Colorado, so it might be a little smaller, but they're the same deer and as hard to hunt as those giants in MX.

I have the Amplus 6 and the Tenmile HX, both 3-16x44 with MOA reticles; Tenmile is FFP on a 7 STW, Amplus is SFP on the 260 Rem. Both of these scopes have excellent clarity, light gathering, and have taken their fair share of game in all conditions. The Leica glass is just a little better...

I cut back to 1 pack a day, switch to lite beer, and get the medium fries instead of the large...usually start this regimen about 6 weeks before I go. Discipline is the key!
