Not that I disagree with what’s said, but… I’d rather we keep this thread not political. I get inundated with enough of that from every other source around me.
That is indeed the worst part. Federal has been terrible about that for years. The toy bond, edge tlr, and terminal ascent have all been nigh impossible to find. I don’t know why they do that to themselves
But that’s the point, this is field conditions. Not a bench. If you can shoot an f class rig from a bench on a calm day (or with wind flags every 8 inches) it’s not so hard. A hunting weight rifle off a bipod at variable distances, elevations, multiple wind channels with nothing but environment...
it’s always a funny dichotomy. Some of the top shooters in the nation are pretty adamant that this is nigh impossible, while quite a few posters are 100% sure they would nail this without a problem. I’d be curious to see how it worked out for those who are positive they would clean this challenge.
That poster (small lady) always seemed like a fake account to me, and some of those later posts like this one really cemented that in for me. Just outlandish stuff.
They’re in the lineage of Trophy Bonded bear claw and trophy bonded tip bullets. Extremely similar, better BC. Expect devastating performance. Typical low velocity threshold is likely between 2000-2200fps, but a phone call to federal can tell you that part.
Up close the trophy bonded tip are...
From what I can see folks haven’t found a solution to it yet. I was looking at these for the same purpose once upon a time, as they feel better than a Glock to me, but the potential mag issues with no real fix turned me off for the moment.
Lotta folks seem to have issues with this same thing. Some googling around brings up a handful of forums talking about sig magazines being jammomatics with heavy, wide bullets.
Seekins. I’ve played Christensen Roulette and it sucks. When they work they’re great, when they don’t they’re trash. No middle ground, and the second scenario shouldn’t be a thing for the price point they sell at. Fierce are typically good but CS is rough to deal with when you do have a problem
