Im running the big agnes Rapide SL and decided to go for comfort rather than ultralight. Sleep is more important to me than some ounces. Big difference using it this year compared to past Thermorest pads in sleep and comfort.
Anyone ever had this problem with their MDT HNT 26 stock. Was cleaning it and the butt end from the hing part just pulled off. Looks like the epoxy failed from the manufacture. It's only like a year and a half old.
Is that price for the dies, brass, and barrel? Looking at possibly going to that caliber for my tikka as have a Rem 700 280
AI already and love it. What's the price for just the barrel and/or brass if you want to separate?
Been shooting the 160 GR CX out of my 280AI this season. Shot an Antelope at 450 yards, a whitetail buck at 400 yards, and a cow elk at 645 yards. All were complete pass throughs. No meat damage on any of them. Have learned that you need to trust your accuracy and shot placement with these...
STABALL 6.5 AT 55.5 GRS, CCI BR2 primer, Hornady 160gr CX running at 2900 in 22 inch barrel. Great accuracy and results on antelope and deer this year. I mention this 160 gr as Hornady said it wouldn't stabilize in a 280AI and was for larger 284 calibers but works great. Thought I would just...
In my 280AI I am using 55.5 grains of Staball 6.5 with a Hornady 160 gr CX seated around .030 off the lands. Getting 2950fps out of my 22 inch barrel and around .5 moa. Shot an antelope at 450 and blew right through her shoulders like nothing and no meat loss.
Have Kuiu Attack pants and have served me from antelope in August till late cow season hunts in January. The best I have worn for all the different temps with layering underneath them and have tore one small hole in the pants in over 7 years that I have been wearing them. Definitely the go to...
Loaded some 165gr Accubonds for a buddies old 30-06 with 56.5 grains H4350. Shooting .75 MOA at 100 with an Old Leupold 4x scope. His kid is planning on using it for a Buffalo hunt so will see how these do on performance.
Just tested a load today as Hornady said a 280AI wouldn't stabilize this bullet. Used 6.5 Staball and 55.5 gr to 56.0 produced 2990 fps and .5moa groups out of my 22inch barrel. Was kinda surprised it shot that good and with that velocity. Was .030 off the lands. Just thought I would share as I...
4831sc, h4350, Superperformance, Ramshot hunter, Varget, and couple others can't remember offhand. I noticed they are quite the long bullet but figured they should stabilize in that twist rate.
Recently bought some .284 160gr Hornady CX bullets to try in my 280AI. Didn't see any load data in the Hornady manual so reached out to them for a starting point. They replied that the standard twist rate was not fast enough for this bullet. Guess pretty dissapointed in the lack of response...
