I have 5lbs each of 15 and 22. So I am set with my weatherby and H&H. Also have lots loaded for the weatherby. For hunting I am set.

I use RL15 and Rl22. I have Winchester powder loads for the 15 and IMR 7828 or IMR 4350 for the Rl22. Next I will be trying VV for the magnums

Just a thought, but would the powder you choose, not just the volume have something to do with primer performance? I used to load 79 grn IMR4350 with Rem 9 1/2 standard and never had a failure. (caution, that load is deemed UNSAFE according to Hodgdon and modern laoding manulas). I don't...

🤣 So does the 243 for me, 270 for my son and 30.06 for my daughter. Yep, she prefers the old 30.06. For 10 years I hunted with 300WBY, then next 10 years with 30.06, now down to 243. I don't realy hunt, I harvest.

I took my son to SA when he graduated college in 2014. I could only afford plains game, but 7 each.

I had ordered the Alaskan at a "distributor" and waited a whole year for it. It was produced for a few days aroun August in 2012 and I picked it up in November 2012. Developed a load with 260 and 300 grns. Sits in safe now.

I promised my M70 classic to my son. My Alaskan, made in S Carolina, was only prodeced for a few days and I don't want to change that one. Maybe one day I'll buy another M70 Classic and AI that one.
