    Brown bear Rifle

I don't know about on a guided hunt but the locals kill them with 223 every day...from ground level. The one guy just posted photos on the thread in question the other day.

    6 BR vs. 6mm Creedmoor

I'd love to see someone put a .5moa 5+ round group at 1000. Please video that next time you're out. I mean I'd love to see anyone put a cold bore shot on a .5moa target at 1000y. Just 1.

So arrows and bullets kill differently then?

    Brown bear Rifle

Nope, I leave that to the real experts that have published papers on it. I'm trying to clarify, it's your position that an arrow slices some cuts 3/4-1" or so wide in a straight line however deep is normal and ethical, not for the socials, and a bullet that leaves a wound channel at least that...

    Brown bear Rifle

They really don't. If they did we'd stop seeing threads about how energy kills things. But to clarify, bow hunters are doing it for attention right?

    Brown bear Rifle

What this thread illustrates is how little most hunters understand about how bullets kill things. I bet if someone asks, he'd put a tape on the hide. Do bow hunters have poor character also?

    Brown bear Rifle

I've never seen a 7' collie. It's not a particularly big one, but it still illustrates than it's perfectly adequate. He even purposely took a non-ideal shot.

    Brown bear Rifle

Haha, less than 24 hours later someone up here posts on that thread with exactly what I suggested. Sure looks like it works just fine. Hunting solo and everything. Guess he had a death wish. Can we link to other forums...

    Brown bear Rifle

I've only ever hunted black bears with a 6.5cm. They die every time. The bullet and the placement is just so much more important than diameter. I've killed everything OTC in Alaska with that rifle except brown bear. I'll be sitting bait later this year looking for browns. I'm generally...

Why is Rel 26 so great??

I use it in 277 fury, but it's normally the fastest thing for cartridges where you have to stuff a lot of the bullet into the case. It packs a lot of weight in a small area.. it's dense. Something like putting a 100gr copper bullet in a 243win with saami coal. Anything 308 sized and under...

    T-Gewehr Bullet

    No. 20mm minimum for elk.

    Brown bear Rifle

That's fine. But people hunt them with bows all the time. Which is wildly more dangerous to you than a 223. ****ed off bear at 20 yards with nothing in your hands after the first one is launched. But it works.

    Brown bear Rifle

The guy that did it just killed a walrus with a 223. A whole lot more skin, muscle and fat and thicker bones to go through then any brown bear.
